ADHD and Executive Functioning
A comprehensive ADHD evaluation must also include an Executive Functioning (EF) assessment. Executive functioning is the ability to orientate behaviors toward long-term goals. Too often EF delays are mis-diagnosed as ADHD and a student with EF skill deficits is mislabeled and unnecessarily medicated.
Our evaluation includes teacher, parent, and student participation. The resulting report (15 to 20 pages) provides detailed information regarding your student’s short- and long-term attention span, cognitive regulation, organizational skills, memory, emotional control, behavior regulation ability, and more. Your student’s age determines the level of ability they should have in each category.
If you bring the student to us the cost is $395. If you want us to go to the school or your home the cost is $495. At the school, includes a classroom observation of your student.
Assessments and report are usually completed within 4 weeks. An initial deposit of half the cost is required to begin the evaluation. The remaining balance is due when he treport is completed.
