My focus
We need to search for cost savings in areas not impacting current amenities and services. We need to effectively maintain and repair what we have. We should treat today as the baseline and allow no further erosion of services or amenities.
People living here understand facilities need constant maintenance and repair. That is why it is vital the amenities and beauty of this campus never erode. We purchase more than a home, we purchase amenities of pools, spas, trails, fitness centers, tennis/pickleball courts, restaurant, concerts, clubs, activities, etc. We purchase a home for the recreational lifestyle of the Four Seasons. We did not purchase a home to pinch pennies on HOA dues.
I live on Green Creek Trail and witness vehicles exceeding 50 mph in front of my home. Either enforce the 30 mph speed limit or removed all speed limit signs. I would ask Beaumont police to set up radar locations throughout our community, commensurate with what is done in the Beaumont area, and enforce speed limits. After all, we are paying taxes to Beaumont for this law enforcement.
While I appreciate the HOA management’s email address issues@fourseasonsbeaumont.org, it is not the home-owne’s responsibility to seek and find community maintenance issues. I will encourage every HOA management employee to take two hours each week to walk or golf cart about this beautiful campus looking for the green insulation bag which is blown off gas lines; terracotta pot sitting crocked or empty of plants; clacking of the windmill indicating a bearing problem; a front lawn or trial sprinkler geyser; over-flowing community trash cans; and more. We pay the HOA management company to find the problems before we do.
We are a 55 plus community. Our residents do not appreciate landscaping noises at 6:30 am with blowers, edgers, and mowers. Recognizing we are a leisure/recreational community, means we should not hear landscaping noise before rising, after 5 pm, or on weekends. Let us create a tranquil and relaxing community.
Why are we replacing the trail signs at $1,190.20? Do we still need them given the GPS system on our phones which emergency services can track? If you have an emergency and no cell phone, knowing where you are on a trail does not matter. It is an anachronism of days gone by. Why assorted colors? Is the A trail also the Red trail? If we keep the signs, let them be black on white. They are easier to replace, cheaper to maintain, and resistant to fading.
Residents should be incentivized to enhance the front of their homes. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Which includes the HOA management soliciting gift certificates from local businesses and awarded to homeowners who improve their curb appeal. Certificates of recognition from the Board could be awarded.
